80 INDICTED IN U.S.A. FOR VIOLATION OF ANTI-TRUST LAWS. lAust. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] SOUTH BEND (Indiana), May 28. A grand jury here has indicted eighty-six of the executives of the Ford Coy., the General Motors Coy., the Chrysler Coy., and also of affiliated finance companies, on an alleged violation of the Sherman anti-Trust Act. The grand jury, after hearing evidence from 150 witnesses, returned three indictments charging the motor manufacturers with a violation of the anti-trust laws through the coercion of automobile dealers and through discrimination against independent finance companies. Edsel Ford, Alfred Sloan and Walter Chrysler are among those indicted.
