Supporters of General Cedillo, leader of the San Luis Polosi rising, killed two members of a train crew, and looted the passengers. (Received May 27, 8.30 p.m.) MEXICO CITx, May 27. Aside from other desultory fighting between the Government and General Cedillo’s troops in the State, an important development of the revolution has been the publication ol a manifesto, issued by the Legislature of San Luis. Potosi State, announcing the secession of the State from the Central Government on May 15th. REBELS ATTACK TRAIN. (Received May 27, 8.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 27. A train travelling between Mexico City and Laredo, in Texas, was derailed during violent clashes between General Cedillo’s supporters and Federal troops. Two train crew members were killed. Twenty-six Americans were aboard the train. The Cedillo supporters looted the passengers. Mexican Government NEW OFFER TO OIL COMPANIES. WASHINGTON, May 26. The Mexican Ambassador has submitted a written proposal to the State Department providing for' the compensation of the American oil interests which have been expropriated in Mexico, with a request that it be submitted to the oil companies. The proposal, which is a highly involved one, will require several days to study, and it will be submitted to the ore companies only'if the Stare Department feels that it offers a basis tor negotiation.
It is not known whether a similar proposal was submitted to Britain.
