Douglas has returned to Little Wanganui after spending a holiday here. The Thistle Soccer team played Birchfield eleven on the local Domain last Sunday. The weather was fine, and the game was keenly contested, ending in a draw, one goal each. The first Rugby League game to be seen on the Hill was played on Sunday on the local Domain a Millerton team and Rivals, of Westport. The game was very interesting' from the spectators’ point of view, and there is the likelihood of the League code becoming very popular in the Buller district. League teams must start the game on time. Any delay in the starting of a game makes supporters dissatisfied.
