Two Men Drowned R.A.F. ’PLANES COLLIDE. LAust. & N.Z. Cable Assn.l SINGAPORE, May 18. Three men are believed to have been drowned when two Royal AirForce ’planes collided. One dived into the sea in Johore Straits. PILOT SAVED. (Received May 19, 10 p.m.) SINGAPORE, May 19. Two are dead as the result of the 'plane crash cabled to-day. The pilot was rescued unhurt. U.S.A. LINER’S CRASH. NINE PERSONS BURNT. LOS ANGELES, May 18. The missing airliner was found crumpled on the slopes of a mountainside in Mint Canyon, 20 miles -north bf Saugus. All the nine passengers were dead. The bodies were burnt. Apparently, the ’plane crashed with terrific force and burst into flames DOCTOR MISSING. DARWIN, May 18. Doctor David King, aged 26, the flying doctor of North-western Australia and the pilot, Reginald Robinson, aged 35, are missing in an ambulance ’plane, between Wyndham and Victoria River Downs, in the Northern Territory. 1 King left Wyndham to attend an urgent call from the Victoria River cattle station, and has not been seen since. An intensive search, in which the Northern Territory flying doctor, Doctor Fenton, will participate, will be conducted to-day.
