LOur Own Correspondent.! A whist drive held in Taylorville school on Saturday evening was won by Mr P. Moore. Mrs M. McDonald was second, and Mrs McFarlane third.
Thieves have been making themselves busy in this district lately. During the absence from home of one resident, a quantity of timber was stolen frpm UQder his house. Another resident has had his garden raided, the thief having the audacity to cut the tops from the carrots anil parsnips and leave them behind.
Good business was done at a "shop” held in Taylorville on Saturday in aid of St. Saviour’s Church funds, Wallscnd.
