SPORTS ASSOCIATION
FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS. At a meeting held last week a West Coast Primary Schools Sports Association was formed. Present at the meeting were Messrs Galbraith, Martin, Dowgray, Wilson, Fowke, and McLeod. The election of officers resulted:—President, Mr. J. McLoed; Vdce-Presidents, Messrs G Graham, L. B. Galbraith; Committee. Misses M. Williams, E. O’Grady, Messrs A. Fowke, C. Martin, L. Wilson, A. Dowgray; Secretary, Mr. H. Silcock. It was decided to subscribe the scheduled registration fee.
A discussion ensued on which schools would participate in the sports, and it was finally decided that membership of the Association be open to all primary schools which pay registration fees. It was decided to hold a sports meeting on April 8, with all day sports. The secretary was instructed to apply to the Board to hold this meeting. It was decided that a provisional programme be drawn up and placed before the next meeting, and Miss Williams, and Messrs Silcock and Galbraith were appointed a committee to draw up the programme. The secretary was instructed to interview the Victoria Park Committee with a view to proposed terms for use of the grounds. Mr. Fowke was appointed secretary for the cricket. It was decided to get in touch with the schools to ascertain the number of teams entering the cricket com? petition.
