The Schools excusion to Greymouth took place ye'sterday when about 900 took part, 650 from Reefton and north, and the remainder from Ikamatua, Blackwater and Waiuta. Mr. H. Hampson, of Palmerston North, son of Mrs. Hampson, Reetton, arrived in Reefton last evening and went on to Maruia to-day, where he will take a course of the waters. The forty-fives cup was again contested last evening in Reefton when the Baker’s Camp team won it from Reefton by 14 points to 13. The Baker’s Camp team were Messrs J. lox (Captain), J. Brown, S. Smythe, A. Shaw, H. Nicholls, and W. Little. Mr. R Cook (captain of the Reeftonites) congratulated them upon their victory and Mr. Cox responded. Nelson bowlers will tour the West Coast next week on a good will tour. Mr Crawley, who managed last year’s tour will again be the manager. They commence their games in Buller, playing from the !2th inst until the 15th and will play Reefton on the 19th. . Inangahua Miniature Rifle Club held a competition shoot on luasday evening.
