GERMAN AFFAIRS

NIEMOLLER TRIAL. BERLIN, February 8. No word appeared has thus far in the German Press, about Pastor Niemoller’s trial, which was resumed in secret. Some of the charges have been dropped, but the more serious ones, alleging misuse of the pulpit, and attacks upon the authority of the State, have been retained. LONDON, February 8. “The Times’s” Berlin correspondent states that despite warnings from the President of the Court, Niemoller deprived his counsel of the right to defend him, because they refused his demand that they insist on the readmission of the Prass and public.
