[Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) SYDNEY, December 14. A new political party, the Australian Democratic Party, has been formed at Sydney, and after its official launching at a public meeting shortly, organising for the next State elections will begin. The President is Doctor L. W. Nott. One of the planks of the party’s platform is the reduction in the members of State Parliaments, with a view to their ultimate elimination. CANBERRA, December 12. The Federal Treasurer, Mr. Casey, announced that the Commonwealth loan of eight millions closed to-day. It was over-subscribed by several thousands.
