BIG RIVER GOLD MINES. The report for the period ending November 25, 1937, is as follows: — No. 4 Level Centre Stope—North of the winze the stone made back into the footwall for about 4 feet deep and 6 feet long. This has been taken out and am now carrying the stope on stone about 3 feet 6 inches wide.

South Block Intermediate Stope.— Over a length of 20 feet this stope came in from sft 6in wide underneath to about 2ft 6in wide overhead, but indications are that it will widen going up. There is still some stone in the north end to take out. No. 5 Level South Block Stope.— This stone has been taken out, and we are now starting to mullock up before rising for another stope. No. 5 Level South Winze.—This was sunk 2 feet to 16ft 6in with stone showing across the south end and along the hanging wall side. North Drive.—This was advanced 10 feet, the first 6 feet averaging 4ft 6in wide when some faulting had taken place pinching the stone into about 2 feet wide with the face now showing 3 feet of stone overhead and about 1 foot underneath. There is now 26 feet of stone averaging over 4 feet wide in this new block, and water is still making over the full length of the stone. One hundred and twenty tons of stone were delivered to the surface bins.
