Mrs. J. Faulkner, returned by yesterday’s express from Christchurch. Miss M. McKenzie, returned yesterday from Christchurch. Miss M. McKay, returned from Christchurch by yesterday's express. Mr. P. Hurren, Hokitika, returned yesterday from a visit to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Docherty, returned yesterday from Wellington. Mr A. Preston leaves to-day on return to Christchurch. Mr. F. F. Boustridge, of Greymouth, Who has been on a holiday visit to England, will return to the Dominion, by the Aorangi, during the week-end. Mr K. E. Balchin, manager of Messrs John Burns and Co., Ltd., Greymouth, will leave on Mondav on a business visit to Auckland. He wil> be accompanied by Mrs Balchin. Mrs. C. Rhodes-Williams, of Christchurch, Managing-Editress of the New Zealand Croquet Journal, arrived yesterday on a visit to Mrs. Allan Smith, Tainui Street. Miss Collinson, of Christchurch, arrived yesterday to be the guest ol the Runanga Croquet Club members to whom she will present the Banner recently won by lhe Club. Mr. E. P. Yaldwyn, manager of the Commercial Bank, in New Zealand, since 1912, is retiring. He will be succeeded by Mr. A. Mcß. Broderick, of Melbourne, who will arrive in October.—Press Assn. Guests at the Albion Hotel include: Miss V. Taylor (Wellington), Miss K. Muyphy (Waiho Gorge), Mr C- Lough (Wellington), Mr D. Wilson (Wellington), Mr R. McGillivray (Christchurch), Mr W. Diedrichs (Kokatahi). Queen Mary travelled from Northamptonshire to Yorkshire for her annual visit to her daughter, the Princess Royal, and the Earl of Harewood at Harewood House, near Leeds. Mr H. E. Perrin was farewelled last evening by members of the West Coast Hockey Association, of which he had been an executive member for the past two years. Mr K. E. Balchin (President) congratulated Mr Perrin on his promotion to Nelson, and paid a tribute to his work as a member of the Association and in the interests of the game. He asked him to accept a doulton fruit bowl with the best wishes of members of the management committee. Messrs W. E. Newton (Hockev Umpires’ Association), L. Coffey, M. Moore, J. A. Youngson and W. J. Butler, endorsed Mr Balchin’s remarks and conveyed good wishes to Mr Perrin. Mr A. Preston, a member of the New Zealand Hockey Association who was present, expressed on behalf of that body, appreciation of the work Mr Perrin had done for the game in Greymouth. Mr Penin suitably replied.
