NOTES. The Harbour Board last evening reported that the depth on the bar at high water yesterday was 24ft 2in. The James Cook is loading timber for Sydney, and is scheduled to sail to-morrow. The Alexander left Nelson yesterday afternoon, for Greymouth, and is due to-morrow, to load coal for return to Nelson. The Kaimiro was expected to leave Auckland yesterday with Greymouth cargo, via Portland, and is due here about Monday, to load for Auckland and Portland. The .Karu leaves Wellington tomorrow and is due here on Friday, to load white pine for Auckland. The Titoki is due on Tuesday,, to load coal and posts for Wanganui. The Totara is expected on September 1, to load posts for Tokomaru Bay, and coal for Gisborne. The Poolta berthed yesterday morning. She is loading for Wellington and Miramar, sailing to-night and is to return on September 1, to again load for Wellington. The Hokitika was to sail late last night with timber and general cargo for Wellington. She is expected to leave Wellington on Friday evening, with general cargo for Greymouth and Hokitika. The Gael sailed last evening with cargo for Bruce Bay.
