Their mothers are firm friends, and they arranged the match some time ago. King Farouk formally proposed last year. An official betrothal ceremony will be held within a few days. The marriage will take place in 1938, when the bride will be seventeen. She has had a European education, and she accompanied the Egyptian Royalties to Europe recently.
