ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED . [Aust. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] (Received August 24, 7.5 p.m.) CAIRO, August 24. King Farouk, of Egypt, is engaged to mary Sazi Naz, the 16-year-old daughter of a high Palace official, Youssouf Bey Tulfiear. Farouk and his financee, Sazi Naz, have been acquainted since childhood. Their mothers are firm friends, and they arranged the match some time ago. King Farouk formally proposed last year. An official betrothal ceremony will be held within a few days. The marriage will take place in 1938, when the bride will be seventeen. She has had a European education, and she accompanied the Egyptian Royalties to Europe recently.
