A "secret eye,” which detects aircraft above the clouds, or when flying by night or through fog, has been produced by a British inventor, who also claims that it will prevent sea collisions. It uses wave lengths of light longer thfin the infra red rays, but shorter than radio waves. The approach of objects miles distant is indicated, and also the direction. The secret of the apparatus is the use of special valves, supplied by three high tension and two low tension batteries.! _____
