Louis—Farr Bout SCHMELLING’S FORECAST. [Aust. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] NEW YORK,. August 19. Max Schmeling has arrived here. He has predicted that Joe Louis will win his bout with. The general opinion favours Louis, but this is not perturbing Farr, whose sparring partners have been instructed to bombard his jaw with left hooks so as to enable him to strengthen his defence against them. Experts are pleasantly surprised over Farr’s mastery in slipping and rolling, which, they consider is not characteristic of a British fighter. Louis is described as being more confident and more poised since he won the title. WEST COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS. OTAGO TEAM. DUNEDIN, August 19.
