38,679 ON THE FUND. 15.300 FEWER THAN LAST YEAR. (Per Press Association], WELLINGTON, August 19. According to a statement by the Acting-Minister of Labour, Hon. P. C. Webb, the total number of males wholly or partly dependent on the Employment Promotion Fund on July 31st. last, was 38,679. A comparison between the figures for July 31, 1937, and those for August 1. 1936, shows a reduction of 15,324.
