The Chief Scout "and chief Guide, Lord and Lady Baden-Powell, were the guests of Queen Wilhelmina today on the conclusion of the scout jamboree at Vogelenzang. The newspapers report with favourable comment a resolution passed by the delegates of 35 nations at the final session of the International Scout Conference, expressive ot the Chief Scout’s teaching on scouting and nationalism. The resolution requests the international committee to do all it can to ensure that scouting and rovering should possess all the elements of international co-operation and friendship, irrespective of creed and race. “Thus,” the resolution states, “any stepx to the militarisation of scouting dr the introduction of political aims, which might cause misunderstanding and handicap the work for peace and goodwill among nations and individuals, should be entirely avoided.”
