N.S.W. MINERS

Resume Work [Aust. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] SYDNEY, August 9. A deadlock which held the Broken Hill Proprietary collieries in the Newcastle district idle for more than a week, has ended. Members of the Miners’ Federation employed at the three pits, John Darling, Buroow, and Lambton 8., decided to give a guarantee recommended by the Miners’ Central Council, that there would be no more stay-in strikes at their mines, pending completion of the negotiations between the Miners’ Federation and the New South Wales coalowners, on the subject of wages and conditions.
