Mr T. Gardiner is at present on a visit to Greymouth. Messrs J. and H. Steel, left yesterday on return to Christchurch. Gillingham i left last evening on a holiday visit to I Christchurch. j Mr Harold Prescott has been eni gaged to give a tenor recital from i Station 3YA Christchurch next month, i Out of forty applicants, Mr. J. H. McAuliffe, of Stratford, has been api pointed clerk to the Murchison County Council. Mr. M. Kealey, of the Greymouth ; staff of the Slate Placement Service, I has left for Wellington on annua! leave. Passengers by yesterday’s air service were: —Mr. J. Williams (Nelson to Greymouth), Mrs. M. Peters (HoI'kitika to Nelson), and Mr. M. O’Neill (Greymouth to Bruce Bay). Rev. Gordon Melville McKenzie. 8.A., acting vicar of St. Paul’s who has been appointed vicar of St. Michael and All Angels parish, Kelburn, Wellington, rendered vacant by the death of the Rev. G. F. Petrie, was formerly a school teacher at Greymouth.
