DEFEAT TAMWORTH. , I Aust. & N.Z. Cable Assn.l SYDNEY, August 4. The New Zealand hockey players returned to New South Wqles from Queensland to-day, and defeated a representative Tamworth team by 13 to 8. The New Zealand scorers were Roughton (five), Monteith (four). Duffield (three), Watson (one). New Zealand fielded its best side to have a serious try-out before meeting New South Wales next Saturday. No hockey fixtures will be played to-morrow, on account of the heavynature of the grounds.
