N.Z. DAIRY INDUSTRY’S CALL COMES FIRST.

The necessity for the New Zealand dairying industry having first call on th c Dominion’s white pine resources was emphasised by the Commissioner of State ■ Forests (Mr Langstone), when commenting on the cablegram from Sydney referring to restrictions on th e export of timber from this country to Australia. “The dairy industry is of such great importance to New Zealand that its requirements must first be met. We have told the Australian people that w e must conserve our white pine supplies and see to it that our own demands are met before any is exported,” ho said.
