MRS. AVES’ TRIAL

JURY DISAGREE New Trial Next Year (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, October 21. No agreement was reached by the jury in the Supreme Court, to-day in the' re-trial of Airs Isabel Annie Aves, also known as Airs Craike. She is charged with unlawfully using an instrument, with intent to procure a miscarriage, on seven occasions between Maj’ 1935, and June 1936. at Hastings. An application by the Crown for a further trial was granted and the ease was set down for hearing at the Wellington criminal sessions in February next.

The accused was allowed bail on the same conditions as formerly. The defence called no evidence to-day.
