M.C.C. TOUR OF N.Z. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON. October 20. “The New Zealand Cricket. Council is making an awful mistake,” said Mr. C. W. D. Bell, at the mecling of the Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association, referring to the proposed itinerary of the English cricket, team, which will play games against Canterbury. Wellington and Auckland, but none against- New Zealand. “It gives more players the chance to show their wares against the visitors.” said Mr. J. E. Banks. ' Mr. Bell pointed ou't the un-attrac-tiveness of the fixtures to the public and the effect this would have on the f naneial result. Another speaker said the fact it -will T>e an English team will be enough. The public would go to see them all right. HOBBS ARRIVES IN AUSTRALIA (Received October 20. 10.35 p.m.) FREMANTLE.
