(Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) DJIBOUTI, October .19. The rainy season is over, and' the Italians are starting a campaign to complete the subjugation of the country. They tire at. present repairing the Addis Ababa-Djibouti railway, which the Abyssinians recently cut in several places. ITALIAN PLANES ,'SHOT DOWN. REPRISAL AGAINST NATIVES. (Received October 20, at 7.40 p.m.) . ADDIS ABABA, October 19. As a reprisal for the shooting down of three Italian military planes in July, when all of their occupants were killed, thirty-three plpnes, carrying five hundred soldiers left Addis Ababa to-day. They bombed the village of Lekemtl. and then landed. A fierce battle followed. The result is unknown NO OFFICIAL INFORMATION. (Received October 20. 11 p.m.) ROME. October 20. It is reported that the Government does not intend to give any information about the Italo-Abyssinian war in future. The war is considered to be over. Any incidents from now on are to b(>| classified as police action.
