AUSTRIA’S RALLY
To the Chancellor (Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) VIENNA, October 18. Standing on top of a specially erected tower, seventy feet high, Chancellor schuschnigg addressed the greatest political rally ever held' in Austria. It is estimated that 350.000 people were present on the Sehmelz the forniImperial parade ground, including 150,000 brought from all parts of Lower Austria. Dr, Schuschnigg said that, his aim was to give every Austrian work. He also promised free milk to school ch.ldren, and cheaper coal. The speech evoked little enthusiasm.
