Citizens’ Committee TO PRESERVE LAW AND ORDER (British Official Wireless). RUGBY, October 18. The Home Secretary (.Sir J. Simon) has intimated a willingness to reeeice a deputation from the East End of London, regarding public order and alleged provocative behaviour of Fascist bodies. Meantime, on the intiative of theWarden of Toynbee Hall, an East End Citizen’s Committee has been set up. and the Presidency has been accepted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, with the object of uniting the churches iand social organisations of the district, in a united effort to preserve order, through insistence on the principles of self control and tolerance, which is the essential basis of democracy. Tn this way, the promoters of the movement hope to prevent a deterioration of tho situation before it becomes serious, EX-KAISER AND JEWS. LONDON. October 18. E. F.
