BOWLING

GREY GLUE'S OPENING. The Greymouth Bowling Club was favoured with beautiful weather for the opening of the season on Saturday afternoon. A very large number of members and friends were presen’when the season was officially declared open by the President of the Club (Mr A. Kibble) who, in a few remarks, wished members a pleasant and successful season. The first kitty was sent down by Mrs Peek (wife of the Viee-lPresidont) and the first bowl was placed by Mrs A. Kibble (wife of the President). A match between the President’s and Vice-President’s teams was won by the latter by 165 to 149. A‘delightful afternoon tea was provided by the ladies.
