A CHAMPION FROM SWEDEN. (Received October 18. at 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, October 17. Displaying overwhelming form, K. Schroder, of Sweden surprisingly defeated Austin 6/2, 6/1, 6/1, in the semi-final of the covered courts singles at the Queen’s Club. Schroder, whose career includes victories over Borotra and Von Gramm, met Borotro in the final, and defeated him 8/6, 6/1. 9/7. Borotra had h 'fd the championship for eight years. Miss Lizana won her first British title, beating Miss Hardwicke 6/0.
