SHIP JOSEPH CONRAD. REACHES NEW YORK, (Aus. & N-Z. Cable Assn.) NEW YORK. October 17. The four-master ship Joseph Conrad has arrived here for a fortnight’s stay on the last leg of its two-year round-the-world cruise. _ After its Pacific voyage it followed a course where no square-rigger has sailed since the treasure-laden Spanish galleons, from Callao bound from Manila, lumbered leisurely' centuries a<ro. After leaving Melbourne and Mickland the Joseph Conrad sailed northward on a fruitless gold quest m the Louisiades. Thence it went across the coral sea to Tahiti and-round Cape Horn to New York.
