CELTIC FOOTBALL CLUB. Last evening the annual banquet of the Celtic Rugby Football Club vas held in the St. Columba Hall, th<> President (Mr J. D. I'resident of the West Coast Rugby Union was present, and thanked the club for the assistance, it ] ia d given the Union during the year bv plaviug football of a high standard and for the sportsmanship shown by members on and off the field He trusted that if the club decided to play in a higher grade, the teams would continue to play high-class tootball. . . The following toast list was honoured: ‘‘The King” (the chairman); “West Coast Rugby Union” (the chairman—Air A. A.' Adams); Celtic. Football Club” (Air Adams—Messrs A. Kilpatrick and D. James): ‘‘Afarist Brothers” (Air A. Fraser-Rev. Bros. Oswald and Anthony); ‘ Fhe Celtic teams” (Mr T. O’Donnell—Messrs C. McGinley. juniors, and S. Tasker, thirds); ‘‘Kindred Clubs” (Air C. Heaphy—Messrs Al. Olsen, N. Eggleton AV. Butler and N. Kiely); Referees” (Air T. O’Donnell—Air N. Eggleton); ‘‘The Artists”, ‘‘The Press” and “The Chairman”. Musical and elocutionary items were aiven by Messrs J. Duffy, P. Coll, J. Phillips' Mr P. Geddes presided at the piano. Air Adams presented the trophies von during the season to Air C. MeGinlej. AVEST COAST HOCKEY ASSN. The annual banquet of the West Coast Hockey Association was held on AVednesday evening, when over forty players and officials were present, the President (Air K. E. Balehin) occupied the chair. During the evening the chairman presented the Burnett AA hite and Ken Balehin Cups to the Pacific team, winners of the championship and one lound competition, and miniature cups to Tanua Club (Hokitika) winners of the six-a-side tournament. In making the presentations, the chairman referred to the success which had attended the season’s activities and congratulated the Clubs and Executive upon their work. Items were given by Messrs A. E. Sloss, R. Beekman and R. Woollett and Taylor, whilst Mr E. Dash presided at the piano. The following was the toast, list: “The King” (the chairman); ‘‘N.Z. Hockey Association” (Air AV. E. Newton —the chairman); ‘‘AVest Coast Hockev Association” (Air H. E. Perrin —Mr ‘ AV. J. Butler); ‘‘Winning Teams” (Mr J. A. Youngson—Messrs W. Heaton, L. Coffey and AV. Smith); “The Artists” (Air'AV. J. Butler—Mr Dash); ‘‘The Referees” (Air L. Coffey -Mr Newton); "The Press” and ‘‘The Ladies.”
