BIG FISHING PROJECT

IN N.Z. WATERS. (Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) MELBOURNE, October 15. A Melbourne syndicate is preparing to float a company to exploit the fishing grounds in Australia ami New Zealand waters. It is reported that a representative will be sent to London to attempt to raise half a million pounds for the project. The directors of the proposed company. Southern Fisheries Development Company, state that they intend to use a factory ship, a carrier and three trawlers. Most of the fishing will be done in New Zealand waters. They estimate that 300 tons of fish could be landed in Victoria and New South Mules each month.
