St. Columba Club ANNUAL MEETING. The Rev. Father T. McKeown prOr sided over a fair attendance at the annual meeting of the St. Colunuia Tennis Club last evening. The annual report and ba'anco sheet showing a credit balance of £6 Ils (id were read and adopted. The report stated that owing to a decrease in membership, principally ladies, the number of inter-club matches played last season was only two, one having been drawn and one lost. Reference was abo made to tint absence of Father J. ITolohaU|. the club’s patron, and the hope was expressed that he was enjoving hts well-earned holiday in Ireland. The following new nii’inWs wore elected: Misses K- Coakley. Saunders Rathbun. P. Bond.. M. Kelly, V. Finlay,. 1). F’nlay. C- Phillips. T. Me Tierrv, Yaxley, A. W'lliam«, C. Cose M. Opening day was fixed for Sunday, October 25. at 2 p.m.. and it was decided that it be a general afternoon tea day for the ladies. Subscriptions We fixed a* 4 last, year: Gents £1 and ladies 15. if paid by December Ist. It was deeded that iiirn’or members under 19 be charged half-subscript’ons. and H was left to •the committee to arrange a junior ladder, and times for school pupils. It was agreed that a working-bee be held at the courts on Saturday, and that the eomni'ittee meet in <ha pavilion at 2 p.m. on the same day. A vote of sympathy w ; th Miss. M.
