SYDNEY WOOL SALES. (Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received October 14, at 11 p.m.) SYDNEY, October 14. At to-day’s wool sales, 12.124 bales were offered, and 11,024 were sold, also 1,451 bales were disposed of privately. Competition from Yorkshire and the Continent was animated at the recent imfiroved rates, and excollent cleuancis were effected. Greasy merino made 22'1. SYNTHETIC OIL FOR WOOL INDUSTRY. LONDON, October 13. Chemists of the Wool Industries’ Research Association. Leeds, are carrying out tests by which they hope to produce synthetic olive oil. thus euablinc the wool industry to overcome the scarcity caused by the Spanish Walter Garner, chief chemist of Lister and Company. Bradford, claims that he has perfected synthetic oil manufactured from Empire raw mater-i-ils He estimated that its use will save the industry £120.000 yearly LONDON. At the annual sale of run Aberdeen Aligns bulls, the demand was wonderfully good. Buyers were present from Auckland to Canterbury, and the sale proved about the most satisfactory yet held in Fcilding. Run bulls averaged nearly .>0 gns.. and the highest price for studs was 75 gns., which G, L. Marshall (Marton paid for an animal bred by F Krull (Kimbolton). This breeder enjoyed a splendid sale, averaging 48 gns., tor run bulls. J. E. Hewitt (Mangamaire) was next, with an average of 45 gns. Tod price for 'a run bull was 62 gns., also for an animal bred by Mr Krull.
