Traffic Law Cases (Our Own Correspondent). WESTPORT. October 14. At the Magistrate’s Court to-day Mr 11. Morgan. SAI. presided Several charges, under the Transport Licensing Ad. were preferred against Gibbs Transport Ltd., of failing to have vehicles under the appropriate Authorities. They were ordered to pav costs on two charges of not having appropriate classification plates, and were also ordered to pay costs on two charges if not having indication discs. On two charges of exceeding the loading classification for the road thev were fined .£3 with B's costs, on the' first charge and £1 with B's costs on the second. Inspector Clarke said the limit had been exceeded by three tons in one jnstauce, and bv twelve cwt. in the other. BY-LAW GASES. For riding cycles after dark without a light W. S.' Hunter. G. Jope. W. Jollv, P. Kirkwood and W. McMahon were each fined 10s with 10s costs. J. McManus, junr.. for driving a ear without a tail light, was fined 10s with 10s costs. For allowing cattle to stray on the West])ort-Karamea highway. G. Mulholland and 11. R. Slade were each, fined £2 with costs 10s. Four defendants found on licensed premises after hours were each fined £1 with costs. The licensee on a charge of exposing for sale, and fined £3 with 10s costs. Sergeant King withdrew selling and opening charges. The licensee’s son-in-law, on a charge of supplying, was fined £2 with 10s costs. Eight defendants found at a country hiffel after hours wore each fined £1 and a second offender was lined £1 with 10s costs. The licensee pleaded guilty to selling and was lined £2 with costs
