(Our Own Correspondent.} 'flic weekly euchre conducted by the Hall Committee resulted in the prizes being won by Airs John Hynes, and Air Goodall (Blackball). The ping-pong tournament, conducted last week, was as enjoyable as previous contests. A doubles tournament and a progressive phig-pong contest were productive of some very good games and plenty of humour. Enjoyable musical items and a commun’t. sing also added to the evening’s enjoyment.

In common with other AVest Coast districts a very stormy week-end was experienced, and Nelson Creek was in high flood. The rainfall recarded for the week-end amounted to 3.6 inches, but for the 24 hours, ending 9 a. tn., on Saturday, 2.3 inches was recorded. Ou Monday evening, -a. meeting of the Sports Club was held, when various matters were attended to. it was decided to apply to -the Centre for the s.-iino day us last season—the first Saturday before Etuster. A. Football Club meeting wa« held on Monday with the usual attendance. The President, Mr Fisher, congratulated the local team on winning the Flannigan Cup. Amrious accounts were passed for pqyinjent. and the form o f celebrating the winning of the cup was held over pending communication from the Cricket Club
