LKAMATUA CLUB. The first round of the championships was played during the week-end. The results were:— Seniors:—A. McLennan won from J. Black by default; W. O’Malley defeated W. McCarthy 2 and 1; AV. E. Clemens defeated B. Hempseed 4 and 3. Intermediate:—T. R. Hogg won from R. AVhiley bv default; AV. Hempseed defeated-J. Watt 4 and 3; J. Green won from L. O’Malley by default; A. Hogg won .from H. C, Cullen by default. Junior:—F. Malley won from J. Kennedy by default; Jno. O’Malley won from j. R. Jones, by default; TI. Dunshea defeated S. Brand 9 and 8; R. Hempseed won from J. Allen by default. The draw for the second round, to be played on Saturday afternoon, is as follows: — Senior: —-A. McLennan v. AV. O’Alalley. Intermediate: —-T. R. Hogg v. AV. Hempseed; J. Green v. A. Hogg. Junior:—F. Malley v Jno. O’Alalley; 11. Dunshea v. R. Hempseed.
