WATERSIDERS’ UNION.
(To the Editor.) (Sir.* —Allow me space to ask thefollowing question: It is right that a non-working member should remain in the Greymouth Waterside Workers’ Union for the last six or seven years when there are unemployed in the town waiting to get into the Union.’ I notice on going through the files, that', the said' member has made no contribution to the last nine lists when members are oft' three weeks. Im my opinion, when the Union roll is purged at, the end of the month, this member should resign. (Should he come back to work, meantime, he would receive all benefits for which the workling intmbers have provided during hig absence from the industry, such as sick and distress funds, without having supported these. —I am etc, ‘ ‘ M.
