Air G. T. AlcNally, Inspector of Stock, Greymoulh, has received notice of his transfe to Wyndham, and will leave at the end of this month to take up his next position. Tie will be succeeded’ by Mr Smyth, of Christchurch.

Air Hugh Dalton, who, in 1929, was Parliamentary Cnder-Secretary Io the Foreign Office, was. at Edinburgh, appointed chairman of the newly appointed executive of the Labour ll'arty .for the ensuing year.
The death occurred at Wellington yesterday of Air Peter Iliekley, general manager of Gordon and GotcTi. Prior to becoming general manager, last year, he was for twelve years, the South Island manager, with headquarters at Christchurch.

Air W. J. Chatfield, of the staff of the Bank of New South Wales, Greymouth, who leaves this morning on transfer to Invercargill, accompanied by Airs Chatfield, was met by a representative gathering of members of the Greymouth Golf Club and presented with an eight-day chiming clock in recognition of his fine work as Secretary, and as a token of the esteem of members. The presentation was made by the President, Air AV. Aleldrum, who spoke in eulogistic terms of the services rendered to the Club by Mr Chatfield. Air E, Warnes, Club Captain, also spoke, wishing Air Chatfield' every success in his promotion. Mr Chatfield in reply, said that bi? work had been a labour of love, and it was pleasing to feel that what little lie had been able to do for the Club had been appreciated. He expressed regret at losing personal contact with Club members, and wished the Club every success. Occasion was taken at the gathering to welcome the successor of Air Chatfield as /Secretary, Air J. J. Thompson.
