The Overseas Shipowners’ Allotment Committee announces the following rates of freight on general cargo, to come into force on and after November I - Wool, greasy—One penny a pound: slipe—one penny-halfpenny; washed, one penny-farthing. All dumped. Sheepskins, dumped—One penny a pound. Tallow, 67/- a ton weight; pelts, 85/- a ton weight; hides, So/- a ton 'weight; preserved meats 50/- a ton measurement. General measuremen, cargo, 85/- a ton measurement. The above rates are plus the usual primage. Dried milk powder, 32/6 net a ton measurement; milk powder, special grades, 37/6 net a. ton measurement. Rates of freight on other classes of general cargo are obtainable on application to the agents of overseas shipping companies.
