CHRISTCHURCH-WAIMATE RACE. (Per Press Association) WA I M ATE, October in. The Christeliurch-Waiinate road race was won by B. G. Miles, of Kaikoura (17min) with A. Clemem-e, ot' Christchurch (7min) second, and A,. J. Lamberton,'of Lincoln (scratch ) third. The winner's time was 7hr 41min 26see. It was a dost 1 finish, the three riders aF riving together at Victoria Park track. Lamberton’s time was 7hr 34min 31sec. In the circuit round the oval. Miles passed the other two riders 100 yards from th(‘ line and in a desperate finish with ('lenience running him close, won by about :i length.
