PROSPECTORS

For South Westland DEPARTMENT’S NEW PROJECT. (Special to “The Argus’’) WELLINGTON. October 10. The Minister of Mines, Hon. P. C. Webb, lias informed Mr O’Brien, M.P. that he is sending- two parties of prospectors into South Westland this summer. The area to be tested is from the Wakomai Bluff, extending- south-west-ward across the Paringa watershed. Each party will consist of six or seven men, and will include one or two experienced prospectors. The rest will be young, vigorous men. The parties are, to be under Ihe control of a geologist. Standard rates of wages are to bo paid to the men, and all their equipment found. Another party will test the locality between Kirwan’s Hill and Farmer’s Creek, near Reefton.
