VISIT TO ENGLAND Departure from Wellington (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, October 11. Accompanied by his private secretaries and. by Departmental officials, the Minister of Finance and Marketing,. Hon. W. Nash, left Wellington bv train to-night on the first stage of his journey to Britain. He, and h '■ party will leave Auckland by tho Aorangi on Tuesday. Air Nash Swill be accompanied by ‘Mrs Nash. He is taking the following staff to England: Mr T. R. Aickin. private secretary; Dr. W. B. Puteh, private secretaryeconomist; Air G. A. Pascoe, of tho Department of Industries and Commerce: Mr J. P. D. Johnsc|n, of tho Customs Department; and Miss Al. Armitate, typist. Apart from the official delegation, Messrs T. A. Duncan, tof the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, and ,T. Fraser, Manager of the Board, will visit England at the same, time, to represent the Board in the mciat export negotiations. For pant of the journey. Air Nash will travel in company with Mr F. G. L Bertram, Deputy-Director of Civil Av ; ation to the British Ministry, who rwcntly advised the Government on air mail problems. They probably will continue discussions on aviation matters., and may discuss the question with the C'anad’an Government at Ottawa, Mr Nash will join the liner Queen Alary at Nqw York, and will arrive at Southampton on November 9, this enabling hfm to meet British AL’nisters and others before the Christmas vacation. While in. England, tho Alinister will discuss the proposed meat agreement}, migration, roc’procal trade arrangements w tli Britain, and the overseas dqbt. If time, permits, he will visit several European countries. During hi s stay in England, Air Nash will Tevis’’'t. his birthplace, Kid-lormin-'tor. where tho freedom of the city will be conferred on him.
