(Our Own Correspondent.) The weekly euchre tournament, conducted by the Hall Committee, was held last Wednesday, the attendance not being up to the usual number. Prizes were won by Mrs John Hynes ’ and Mr Goodall (Blackball). 8 The ping-pong even'.ngs, conducted by the young people, continue to be very popular. A full-sized table has now been obtained and this should result in further improved' play. 'September proved to be a very wet month, rain falling on twenty-two days , and totalling 10.27 inches. t Mr J. T. Gibbs, who was admitted to the Grey Hospital with an injury 1 which necessitated the amputation of a thumb, is making satisfactory progress. .. . The football season is now ofheially ended. Local supporters are gratified I at the success of the local team in be- - ing awarded the Flannigan Cup. Several local enthusiasts travelled '• to Greymbuth on Saturday to witness the McCready-Pencheffff wrestling clash.
