NEW ALLOWANCES. FOR OVERTIME AND EXPENSES WELLINGTON, September 22. Overtime rates for the professional and clerical divisions in the Public Service are set out in, the regulations issued as a supplement to last week’s Gazette. The rates vary from 1/6 to 3/6 an hour, according to salary. The scale is as follows: Not- more than £lBO a year, 1/6 an hour. Between £lBO and £240, 2/-; £240 to £395, 2/6; £295 to £3BO, 3/-; £3BO to £470, 3/6. ■ Travelling allowances are also on a sliding scale. “Actual reasonable expenses’’ are paid to officers receiving up Io £.145 a. year, and from £145 to £3BO, 12/6 a day. The rate increases ,up to £1 a day for £565 and over.
