He hopes soon to fight Joe Louis in New York. Rosenbloom is to be married next month, in New Y’ork, to a Californian society girl, Marv Elizabeth Campbell, o f Beverley Hilli. BOUTS AT AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, September 21. Two professional bouts were tonight, staged by the Auckland Boxing Association. The principal contest, was a catch-weight one of ten three minute rounds in which Archie Hughes (Auckland) 9st 611), defeated Al Stock (Hawings) Hist, on points after a good exhibition. Hughes substituted for Neville .Mudgeway (Waihi) who was unable to take the ring on account o’, illness.

The second professional contest was a light-heavyweight one between Marine Ryan H..M.S. Dunedin (list 121 b) and Frank Prendergast, Invercargill (12st 41b). Ryan won on points after a fairly fast, but rather ragged exhibit ion.
