LABOUR SPLIT
In United States (Aust. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received August 6 at 8.10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, August 5. The Council of the - American Federation of Labour has to-day ordered the suspension, within thirty days, of unions that uro headed by Mr Lew’s, President of the Mine Union, and having a membership of a million, unless the unions dissolve their so-called Committee of Industrial Organisation, which was formed to further .industrial. as against craft unionisation within the American Federation. -The Federation -Council declared that it could not tolerate the existence of this revival organisation. The dispute threatens disruption in the Federation.
