N.Z. Cable Headquarters TO REMAIN AT AUCKLAND. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Alay 2. There does not seem much prospect of the cable service at headquarters being transferred from Auckland to Wellington, according to a statement made to-day by the Postmaster-Gen-eral, Hon. F. Jones, who said that the Government contemplated no action in the matter. The Minister explained that the Cable Company originally had two cable services, one terminating at Wellington, and the other at Auckland. The Company were losing money on both and decided to do away with the Wellington station and to koe n the newer one at Auckland in operation. To m ! ake a-ny transfer would cost. £200.060, and in view of losses sustained by the Company, there was no possibil'tv of that taking
