MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. The weekly meeting of the Management. Committee of the West Coast Rugby League was held last evening. Present, Messrs. J. Anisy, B. Ramsay, B. Rathbun and the secretary, Mr. R. Harrington. In the absence of Mr. A. 11. MeKanMr A n isq was voted t o ille chair. Apologies were received from Messrs. McKane, A. C. Hall, J. Stokes, L. Hunter and W. Barlow. The minutes of the previous meeting were confirmed on the motion of Messrs. Rathbun and Ramsay. Outward correspondence was confirmed on the motion of Messrs Anisy and Ramsay, and inward correspondence received. Tickets were received from Waiuta Rugby League for annual ball. Gate takings, £l9 18s 9d were received on the motion of Messrs Ramsay and Rathbun. Referees’ reports were received. Arising out of the referee’s report of the Marist-Runanga junior match at Wingham Park on Sunday last, it was decided to award the match to Runanga, and that the Marist Club be written to asking for an explanation for the reason of their junior team being three-quarters of an hour late in the match against Runauga. It was decided on the motion of Messrs. Ramsay and Anisy to commence a one-round competition for the junior players. FIXTURES. Fixtures for Sunday were arranged as follows:— Senior semi-final (K.O. Cup): Mar ist v. Blackball, Wingham Park, 2.30 (Mr. S. Smith). Bradshaw Cup: Ngahere v. Runanga, at Dunollie, 2.30 (C. Purne 1 !); Pirates v. Brunner, at Brunner, 2.30 (F. Bernard Junior final (K.O. Cup): Runanga v. Blackball, Wingham Park at 2.30 (I). Faris). One-round competition: Pirates v. Kuinara, at Kumara, 2.30 (R. McGill); Marist a bye. Third grade (Brown Shield): Runanga A v. Runanga B, at Dunollie, 1.15 (M. Hall); Marist. v. Brunner, Wingham Park, 1.15 (T. Lord); Kumara v. Pirates, at Kumara, 1.30 (G. Murtha). S.I. PLAYERS DEPART. Messrs J. Calder. W. McNeight, W. 1 Glynn, G. Scott and P. Scott, mem bers of the Sou'th Island Rugby : League team, left yesterday morning for Auckland, where the inter-island ' match will take place on Saturday Messrs C. Hall (manager and sole South Island selector), and R. A. L Kay accompanied the team. The West Coast party were joined in Christchurch by A. Beban and J. Anderson, and (the Canterbury members of th<i team, and left last night for Wei lington, en route tlo Auckland. AUSTRALIAN TEAM FOR N.Z. (Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) SYDNEY, August 13. ‘ The Australian Rugby League team to visit New Zealand will leave Sydney on September 21, arrive on September 25. and play the first match on that day.
