HARIHARI NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent.) Messrs J. Adamson, J. Minehan and L. Haddock lef. here on Sunday after noon, to attend the race meeting at Christchurch. Mr E. Her-'ihy is on a visit to Christchurch. Mrs C. Black, of Evans Creek, who Las been on a visit to the North Island expects to return home next week. Miss E. Donovan, of Roa. was u visitor here for the week-end. Mrs H. Kidd is on a visit to Mahitahi, South Westland. Mr Frank Haddock, who is still n patient at the Westland Hospital, is now progressing favourably. Messrs W. Glass and A. Doha, who have been on a visit to Australia, arc expected home at the end of next week. Miss B. Rowley is on a visit to Christchurch. Mr P. O’Donnell, who has been on a visit here for the past fortnight, lef to attend the races at' Christchurch on Saturday. A Possib’e-Probable Rugby football match was played on Saturday afternoon, the object being to pick a team of twenty players to travel t'o Hokitika on Saturday next to meet the Ilokir'ika representatives for lhe Dittman Shin'd. After a hard-fought game the Possibles won by 31 points to 25. Mr G. Macdonald had charge of the whistle.
On Sunday afternoon the Ross team paid a visit here to play the (Rovers. The latter team has just been formed and tTiey had only played one fixture previously to this match. Ross proved too strong for the loca 1 boys, having much more experience, and the visitors won by six points to- nil. Mr Macdonald was referee.
