THE WEATHER
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 11. The weather report and forecast are as follows:—
General situation: There is little change in the. pressure distribution, an intense anticyclone still covering the Now Zealand area, ami a shallow depression "ji western Tasman Sea. Forecast: Wiuds light t" variable, but tending to northerly, and freshening about Co<»k and Foveanx Straits. Seas in New Zealand walers are becoming rough about Foveaux Strait; other,* Aviso smooth to moderate. .Eastern Tabman Sea: Moderate but freshening north-cast to north Avinds; seas ijioderate to rather rough. Weather still murky, and fair to fine, but some showers are likely in the far south, and later at scattered places on the west coast of the South Island. Cold night but mild day temperatures.
